Abstract

Agl nanoclusters were successfully prepared by using PAMAM dendrimers as templates in water system. In the prepared process, the size and size distribution of prepared AgI nanoclusters depend on the terminated groups of PAMAM dendrimers, reaction time, the molar ratio of silver ions to PAMAM dendrimers. The gained AgI/PAMAM dendrimer nanocomposites were characterized by UV-Vis spectrophotometer, fluorescence spectrophotometer, TEM. The size of prepared AgI nanoclusters depend on the terminated groups of G4.5-COOCH3 PAMAM dendrimers were smaller than G5.0-NH2 PAMAM dendrimers in the same conditions. This was result of the inner-template of G4.5-COOCH3 PAMAM dendrimers. The results show that the stability of AgI/PA-MAM dendrimer nanocomposites was better and could preserve more than two months in the room temperature when G4.5 concentration is 1 × 10-6 mol/L, the ratio of Ag+ to G4. 5 dendrimer is 20.
