Preliminary study on evaluation system of EV energy consumption economy

To define the evaluation standard of EV energy consumption economy and establish the evaluation system, the reasonable evaluation method of EV energy consumption is studied on the basis of long-term running test of EV. The parameters of energy consumption economy such as driving range, capacity consumption per kilometer and energy consumption per kilometer are summarized. The merits and faults of these parameters are mentioned. As the overall merit of dynamic performance and energy consumption economy the energy utilization ratio is put forward. The function of this parameter is shown through calculation and analysis for different EVs. This is helpful to the study of the EV energy consumption economy and the comparison of energy consumption economies for different electric vehicles.
