Portable system for laser irradiance measurement

Abstract

Laser irradiance is a very important parameter for laser beam riding homing systems. In order to measure laser irradiance rapidly and correctly outdoors, a portable laser irradiation measuring system is developed. A microprocessor is used in this system to control system work and process data. The measurement results can be corrected automatically. In addition, the laser irradiance of 0.92 μm, 0.98 μm, 1.06 μm three kinds of wavelength can be measured using this system. Experimental results show the validity of this system.
