Abstract

A new emulsion explosive with PAMAM dendrimer as the stabilizer was made. Its stability was characterized by high-low temperature circulation test and static life test, scan electron microscopy techniques. The results indicate: the emulsion explosive stabilized by the PAMAM has a supernormal stability. The detonating velocity test of the emulsion explosive told that its detonating velocity increased on the contrary. The stabilization mechanism of this emulsion explosive was also discussed.
