Abstract

This paper proposes a novel architecture of TETRA core network, which is based on IMS and PoC. It brings TETRA access network into IMS domain. In order to meet the strict standard of call setup delay in digital trunking system, an algorithm used to reduce the number of PoC signaling in the core network is presented. Call setup delay is analyzed in the proposed architecture and OPNET simulation is used to verify the result. Theoretical analysis and simulation results both show that the method proposed by this paper can meet the requirement of group call businesses in TETRA.
