Abstract

This paper focuses on Earth-Moon communication and navigation constellations, proposing a weighted average method to construct constellation cost indicators based on umbra analysis, solar transit calculation, visibility analysis, coverage analysis, geometric dilution of precision value computation, and link distance calculation. This provides a quantitative basis and guidance for constellation performance evaluation. Simulation results demonstrate that the quantified performance metrics effectively reflect the core performance of the constellation configuration, while visualized parameter indicators facilitate subsequent design. This method can serve as a theoretical reference for future Earth-Moon space navigation constellation design and space formation observation missions.
