Parameters design and electro-optical performance analysis for IR LCLV

Abstract

IR LCLV parameters is designed by using the calculating models of director configuration and light transfer in liquid crystal. An IR LCLV with the parameters (E7 liquid crystal, paralell arrange, pretilt angle 5-10°, thickness 10 μm) is obtained and its electro-optical performance is calculated. The IR output spectrum and me variation of input gray with equivalent temperation is tested. The results show that IR spectrum output characteristic and optical modulation characteristic of IR LCLV is good for IR scene simulation.
