T1 - Optimization of EMU Assignment and Maintenance Plan Based on Train Circulation Plan

N2 - The EMU is an important passenger transport resource in China's railway and plays an important role in China's transportation industry. With the increasing demand of passenger transport, the number of EMUs needed is also increasing accordingly. Under the condition of limited resources, it is essential to discuss how to strengthen the efficiency of EMUs. The use of EMU and maintenance plan are mutually influenced and restricted, and the two plans are usually considered in coordination when the EMU is used. This approach not only conforms to the actual situation, but also can improve the quality of the plan. In this paper, the operation and maintenance plan of EMU are prepared based on the train circulation plan. Considering the actual situation that EMU performs the train route, the utilization of EMU is regarded as an assignment problem between the train route and it. Considering the constraints of secondary maintenance and other constraints, a 0-1 integer programming model is constructed and solved by using the solver GUROBI. The result shows that the efficiency of EMU can be improved effectively.
