Abstract

The long range defense ability of modern defense systems both in air and on earth is developing fast because of the technology of anti-missile system. It is more and more important to improve the long range attack ability of precision guided weapons, which means a lot to the survival probability of launching platforms. In this paper, an optimal guidance law which can be used in both air to air missiles and short range tactical ballistic missiles for longer range is discussed. The guidance law is worked out and analyzed in time-varying system for a maneuvering target. And also the applicability study for both types of missiles is given. The ability to enlarge range for different missiles is confirmed in the last part of this paper.
