Abstract

Aim To enhance the utilization ratio of laser energy while introducing a new practical technique and a system in one-step rainbow holography. Methods On the symmetrical plane of the double-Gauss lens with 1:1 magnification, the Fraunhofer diffraction of the object surface could be formed. With the conbination of the object plane with the striped-speckle screen, every point of object surface formed its image on the recording medium through the lens with a slit-like beam. Results The time of producing a 70 mm x 70mm master plate with high resolution could be reduced to 40 s while 210s were needed with the old methods. Conclusion With this technique, we can make a better use of laser energy and make it easy to produce master holograms of 2D/3D by incorporating one-step rainbow holography.
