Abstract

A generalization of lattice based diagonal space=time codes with cyclotomic generating matrices, are described. The optimality for a fixed diversity product and its mean transmission signal power is minimized. The cylcotomic lattices are introduced with requirement of real and complex lattices. It is observed that a cyclotomic lattice is full diversity lattice and diagonal cyclcotomic space-time code has full diversity. From the lattice packing theory, signal mean power is governed by lattice packing density which is determined by absolute value of lattice generating matrix determinant.
