Abstract

We propose an on-chip active mode-locked optoelectronic oscillator for fully tunable microwave pulses generation. By controlling the free-carrier concentration for high-speed loop-gain modulation, microwave pulses with tunable center frequency and duty cycle are experimentally generated.
