N2 - In this paper numerical simulation and experiments have been performed to study warhead perforating obliquely multi-layered steel plates. With the increase of steel targets angles of 20°, 25° and 30°, and the velocity of warhead striking the first target from 665m/s to 850m/s, it shows that the residual velocity, negative acceleration and angle of attack of warhead increase correspondingly. The change times of velocity and acceleration of warhead are corresponding to the level number of targets. Comparing with the reduced-scale model and prototype model, the results show that the reduced-scale model is a stricter condition in the strength safety because of the larger absolute acceleration of warhead than that of the prototype model.
