Abstract

The volume-acceleration model was introduced to determine the initial condition for bubble motion by underwater explosion. From the basic phenomenon of the interaction between bubble and free surface, the dynamic behavior of bubble near free surface including the ring rebound of bubble and the dome of free surface was simulated and analyzed using MSC.DYTRAN finite element analysis software with the developed subroutine that defines the initial value and boundary conditions of the fluid field. The computational results of the behavior of bubble and the dome height were confirmed through a comparison with the experimental results. The dynamic behaviors of bubble near free surface and the dome of free surface were studied systematically and the relationship between the dynamic behavior and the distance was summarized. The research provides valuable references for related theoretical research and engineering calculation.
