Abstract

The dimension of solid explosives plays an important role in the characteristic of the shock-to-detonation transition (SDT). The nonlinear finite element code was used to calculate and analysis the dimensional effect of the SDT of JO-9159. The results show that the initiation pressure threshold of JO-9159 decreases along with increasing of the diameter and thickness of the explosives.
