Numerical simulation on the blast of explosives in soil-concrete complex medium

To investigate the damage effect of explosives in soil-concrete complex medium, the damaging processes of explosives in soil-concrete medium and concrete-soil medium were numerically simulated using LS-DYNA program. The damage zones of concrete destroyed by different depth-of-burial (DoB) explosives were quantitatively given, and the effect of soil cover on concrete damage was studied for soil-concrete medium. When the explosives blasted in soil, the damage zones and patterns of concrete were gained in the concrete-soil mediums under the different DoB.
