Numerical simulation of gas-liquid two-phase flow and combustion in outlet of Venturi burner

Abstract

According to the characteristics of spray combustion in the oil-fired boiler equipped with Venturi burner, the analytical model and processing method were developed. The numerical simulation of the gas-liquid two-phase flow and combustion in the outlet of Venturi burner was presented. The particle tracking and vaporization undergoing were described, and distributions of pressure, velocity, temperature and ingredient concentration were provided. By theoretical analysis and experimental results, it is proved that the numerical results are credible. The numerical results can be used to improve the design and operation of this boiler.
