Abstract

The multi-material ALE algorithm of the dynamic finite element program was used to calculate the explosion processes of charges in the different cuboid obturators based on Hopkinson's law. The blast wave pressures, arrival time and reflective pressure on the inner surface were compared to the different models. The research results show that the Hopkinson's law can be used for implosion reduced-scale model which can save much time and energy.
