Abstract

Aimed at the new concept ATBM warhead-KE-rod warhead, with the numerical simulation, the effect of parameters of rod circles, dispersion explosive and packing material on the rod's initial velocity is studied, and the formula is set up to calculate the initial velocity of the rod based on the modified Gurney formual. Experiments have proved that this method can be of help in engineering design. Meanwhile, with the VR method, the 3-D dispersion of KE-rod is simulated.
