Abstract
The penetration of projectile with electronic components into layered target is numerically simulated by using ANSYS/LS-DYNA for researching the influencing factors of potting protection effect. The feasibility of the simulation model is proved by comparing the simulated results with experimental data. The responses of the electronic components are compared by changing the potting material parameters such as density, elastic modulus and viscosity. The effects of material parameters on the electronic components are analyzed. The result shows that the viscosity has significant effect on the electronic components.
