Abstract

Polyethylene glycol (PEG)/polyacrylamide (PAAm) phase change materials were prepared from the addition of PEG to the acrylamide polymerization system. A series of this materials possessing with solid-solid phase change properties, were prepared by change the ratio of PEG and PAAm. Nonisothermal kinetics of solid-solid phase transitions in PEG/PAAm materials were investigated by DSC. Kissinger and Ozawa methods were applied to determine the activation energy (Ea) and reaction order of solid-solid transitions. The results of two methods are in agreement.
