Abstract

The α-diimine nickel dibromo complex LNiBr2 (L = [(2,6-iPr2C6H3)NC(Me)]2) reacts with various amounts of potassium metal and phenazine (Phz) to afford the complexes [LNi(η4-C4-Phz)] (1) and [K(DME)]2[(LNi) 2(μ-η11-N,N-Phz)] (2), in which the Phz molecule adopts significantly different coordination modes with different oxidation states of Phz, Ni, and L.
