Abstract
Based on human capital and entrepreneurial dynamism, the analysis in this article centers on the green value of the digital economy. Our study capitalizes provincial panel data from 2011 to 2019 in China. The findings show that green total factor productivity has already increased dramatically owing to the digital economy advancement, especially in eastern China. Additionally, the ‘threshold value’ of the environmental effect between human capital and the digital economy is examined. The continued rise in human capital levels in China’s provinces reduces the advantageous effects of the digital economy advancement on total factor productivity growth. Lastly, we discuss policy implications for advancing green development and the digital economy.
