Abstract

The narrow bandwidth BBO optical parametric oscillator source operating between 589nm to 892nm was demonstrated. The design is based on a BBO optical parametric oscillation seeded by the Ti:sapphire laser, which is pumped only by the residual second harmonic after frequency-tripled of the same Nd:YAG laser. This method can reduce the linewidth (≤0.01nm) and threshold (up to 10 times) and therefore improve the conversion efficiency (4 to 11 times).
