Abstract
Electromagnetic (EM) wave technology plays a crucial role in various fields such as communication, imaging, sensing, and protection. However, traditional EM materials often struggle to achieve an optimal balance between multispectral response, mechanical strength, and environmental adaptability. In this study, we constructed a novel hetero-dimensional MXene-derived aerogel (Co@NCNTs-CM) by directional freeze-drying and high-temperature carbonization. The introduction of a carbon coating and nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes embedded with cobalt nanoparticles not only effectively inhibits the self-stacking effect of MXene but also significantly enhances the mechanical strength, flame retardancy, and EM wave attenuation capability of the materials. The unique hetero-dimensional structure, ordered pore distribution, and abundant interfacial properties enable excellent responses in microwave and infrared bands. Radar cross-section (RCS) simulations confirm the outstanding performance of this material in far-field EM protection. Based on these superior properties, we designed an innovative multispectral EM stealth protection device that integrates flame retardancy, heat insulation, and frequency-selective stealth functionalities. This research provides a solid theoretical foundation for specialized EM protection and promotes interdisciplinary advancements in military, aerospace, and intelligent manufacturing.
