Abstract

We put forward and simulation demonstrated a multi-broadband radio over fiber (RoF) system based on Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) by the using of Matlab software to call OptiSystem. The system simultaneously transmits four GFDM signals modulated to four different carriers. Each signal is with bit rate 10Gbit/s and bandwidth 2.5GHz and carriers are with frequency 10, 13, 16 and 19GHz respectively. The simulation results indicated that the signals can transmit through 24-km Single Mode Fiber (SMF) with EVM 2.6% when received optical power is-17.8dBm because of GFDM signals' ultra-low Out of Band (OOB) leakage to strictly avoid harmful interference to adjacent signals.
