Motors’ parameters matching and optimization of the dual-mode hybrid transmission for the optimal acceleration characteristics

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

Along with the development of hybrid electric vehicle, dual-mode power-split transmission (PST) technology, is widely applied in heavy-load vehicles. For PST accelerating, the engine and the motors cannot exert the peak torque if the parameter mismatch happens. Therefore, a novel strategy for the motors’ parameters matching of the PST with the optimal acceleration characteristics as objective is proposed to solve this problem. The key to solve the optimal matching of engine and motors is the matching of motors’ rated speed. The proposed matching method is validated by matching examples, and the simulation results are analyzed. It is expected that the research contents of this paper can be served effectively as a basis for the parameters matching in the field of PST.
