Abstract

In order to estimate the performance of electric drive bulldozer, the dynamic model of tracked bulldozer is built in RecurDyn and the electric drive system model and the dynamics control strategy are set up in Simulink/Stateflow. Through the interface technology between Matlab and RecurDyn, a mechanical-electrical co-simulation model is built. Several typical dynamics conditions including straight running, small radius steering, large radius steering and center steering are simulated on the model and evaluated. The results not only show that the vehicle performance meets the design requirements, also prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the control strategy. The co-simulation method lays the technical foundation for the prediction and assessment of the electric drive tracked bulldozer performance.
