Abstract

The piston high-low pressure launch device for micro-robot is designed based on the technology of high-low pressure chamber launcher. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation of the launch process have been made by applying the interior ballistics theory. The result of numerical simulation is consistent with the experiments. According to numerical simulation and data analysis, the piston high-low pressure launch device could reduce the acceleration of micro-robot in launch process obviously. The mathematical model derived in this paper could be used to analyze and optimize the parameters of the piston high-low pressure launch device and be a foundation for the structure design of launch device.
