Abstract

Universal Access Transceiver (UAT) is a data link technique supporting the Automatic Dependence Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) function. By OPNET(a network simulation tool), this paper presents a simulation modeling of the aeronautical network based on UAT. The simulation results about end to end delay, bit error rate and packet loss ratio demonstrate that the UAT-base network can provide a good communication services between aircraft and ground station.
