Abstract

Fuse warhead coordination for EFP warhead in Fly-over and shoot-down smart ammunition needs not only the detonating time optimization but also the attitude requirement in the process of ammunition and target encounter. In this paper, a model of fuse warhead coordination for this ammunition is established, where the ammunition's attitude angles and the relative motion of ammunition and target are considered. Then the parameter sensitivities are analyzed. It is revealed that the impact angle constraint about inclination angle proposed in most literatures is not applicable for this type of ammunition. And the attitude angles, especially the pitch and roll angles of the ammunition play a vital role in the fuse warhead coordination. On this basis, the model is simplified with acceptable errors. At last, constraints of the inclination angle and the rotation angle of the line of sight are proposed to ensure the hit accuracy.
