Mitigation of Dither-Signal Beat Interference in Optical SSB System with Remodulation-based Distortion Reconstruction

Abstract

We propose a receiver-side remodulation-based distortion cancellation technique to mitigate the dither-signal beat interference caused by the double-sideband dither signals generated in the transmitter. The proposed scheme improves the system's receiver sensitivity by ~1.8 dB.
