Abstract

This article proposes a miniaturized bandpass filter (BPF) using a half mode substrate integrated plasmonic waveguide (HMSIPW). The HMSIPW is designed by incorporating a hybrid dual spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) into a three-layer half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW). The proposed BPF based on composite waveguide exhibits miniaturized size and broad bandwidth, owing to the characteristic of dual SSPP structure. To expand the functionality of the HMSIPW BPF in microwave system, two HMSIPW BPFs are placed back-to-back to design a power divider. The HMSIPW power divider demonstrates the advantages of size and bandwidth.
