Abstract
A novel high strength and high-density steel was obtained by the addition of tungsten element. Compared with traditional steel, the novel steel exhibits a higher density (>9 g/cm3), while maintaining high strength, and good ductility. Small precipitates of the μ phase dispersed in the matrix.
