Abstract

In order to identify a tank target accurately, a template matching recognition method in transform domain is introduced based on the analysis of MMW (millimeter wave) radiation of a tank. Templates of MMW radiation characteristics of a tank in transform domain are made using the characteristic that the spectrum of radiation signals from a tank is concentrative and easy to be separated from noises. The signal to be detected is processed by a sliding window and is transformed by Zoom-FFT. The target is identified by matching with the templates. The method makes use of the characteristic of waveforms. It has high capability against disturbances, good robustness and high real-time performance. The result from the simulation on the tank target characteristic and disturbance signals of 168 groups illustrates that the method is effective for identifying tank target.
