Abstract

In an augmented reality (AR) system, whether the intensity of virtual object can match with real scene is a crucial problem, and it can influence whether the compositing of real and virtual worlds is vivid. In order to achieve intensity matching, two method of evaluating real-virtual intensity are proposed based on the theory of dealing with the imaging intensity. According to a new design of optical see-through HMD, the methods are improved, and the system efficiency is boosted. The experiment results indicate that each method has its own strongpoint aim at the different real-virtual situation, and the results of the adjusting are more perfect.
