Method of adaptive pattern control based on the two-step least-squares

Abstract

A novel adaptive pattern control method is proposed in this paper, which improves the desired array response and direction matrix of two-step least-squares iterative algorithm. The side-lobe pattern control can be achieved by utilizing the randomness of the desired pattern phase and updating iteratively the phase of desired pattern and weigh vector. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is verified by computer simulation and theoretical analysis.
