Abstract
In order to achieve a certain pneumatic clutch actuator in AMT system with lower cost, on the basis of advanced analysis of clutch control process and the characteristics of pneumatic control, a method is proposed, in which the pneumatic clutch actuator is driven by high-speed respond switch electromagnetic valve controlled by PWM. And the corresponding model-reference adaptive control strategy is established as well. Real vehicle road tests conducted by several drivers in different road conditions and environments prove the feasibility of the control strategy. And such experiment results also show the low cost and simple construction characteristics of such a pneumatic clutch actuator, which is the foundation of further industrialization.
