Abstract

The GAP prepolymer with isocyanate cross-linking was introduced to the binder system for double-base propellant. The effects of various curing agents type, R value, the content of curing catalyst (T 12) and plasticizing ratio on the RNB value of crosslinking network parameters for binder system and mechanical properties of the binder for GAP based cross-linked modified double-base propellant were studied. Experimental results showed that RNB value increases with the increase of the R value and the content of (T 12). In the cross-linking reaction of curing agents with -OH contained in NC, TDI was more active than IPDI. The maximum tensile strength and elongation of elastomer GAP-TDI/NC/NG were up to 1.09MPa and 202.12%, respectively, and the minimum T g was -42.66°C.
