Mathematical concepts of effectiveness and vulnerability of deep buried target was given. A way to researching vulnerability of deep buried target was described. Loss rate function by which the expressive degree of target ability to accomplish task can be described was constructed. The function format is simple, and mathematical expression of the function is consistent with the physical phenomena of damage to target. By analysis of function, the changing trend of its vulnerability under the conditions of penetration and explosion was understood, and the process of damage to target was described.
