So, the characteristics of the driving cycle play an important role in the hybrid powertrain matching and the control strategy designing. However, the mathematic description method about the characteristics of the driving cycle has been not studied before. The mathematic model is established to describe the characteristics of the driving cycle in this paper, which provide a useful guidance to design a hybrid electric vehicle that operates efficiently under the target driving cycle.",
