Abstract

In order to refit dual-motor-individual-drive electric drive system from mechanical drive system on a 15 t armored tracked vehicle and to embody the advantages of the electric drive tracked vehicle, the performance parameters of induction motor and final drive in the tracked vehicle drive system are calculated for reasonable matching according to the design and dynamic performance indicators parameters of the whole vehicle. Modern design theory and methodology-collaborative simulation & virtual prototyping are applied, the model of running system and motor drive system on the whole vehicle is built, and the collaborative simulation is done by means of control system analysis software Matlab/Simulink and multi-body dynamics analysis software RecurDyn/Track-HM. The torque control strategy is put forward. The simulation results of drive performance under four different limit conditions (i.e. acceleration performance, maximum speed, maximum climbing degree and central turning) are validated by real vehicle load test on the first principle vehicle prototype of the electric drive tracked vehicle in China, which proves that the matching is reasonable and feasible, the model of collaborative simulation and the control strategy are right. It has great practical signification in raising research level of the electric drive tracked vehicle in China.
