Abstract
In the workshop with evenly distribution of machining function, aiming at the problem that the optimal configuration was difficult to design caused by huge optional manufacturing system configuration of one task, a configuration optimization method which combined similarity coefficient method and improved tabu search algorithm was proposed. A mathematical optimization model was established to minimize the parts handling distance and the area of the minimization rectangles which concluded all the equipment in one configuration. Based on machining functions similarity, similarity part families were constructed by considering machining time and lot size, and tabu search algorithm was designed to resolve the mathematical model. Through simulating a study case in the software Matlab, the correctness and effectiveness of the designed algorithm were testified.
