Abstract
Matlab and LCD are used to achieve the fast manufacturing and simulated reconstruction of the computer-generated hologram (CGH). Two different coding methods, Lohmann III and Burch, are used in the experiment. Principles, methods and procedures of using Matlab to make CGH are also studied. Effects and limitations of LCD when it is used to reconstruct CGH are discussed. Experimental results indicate that compared to the traditional algorithm languages, applying Matlab can save three fourths of the counting work and its coding and reconstructive picture will be drawn in only several seconds when an original image is inputted.
