Abstract

According to the detailed analysis of main clutch engaging process control target and adaptive demands and based on speed signal, a control strategy of main clutch for automated mechanical transmission (AMT) was put forward. It was applied to the main clutch control of a tracked vehicle, and proving ground test was carried out. Using jerk and slipping work as evaluation indexes, the test data was analyzed. The results showed that the control strategy based on speed signal has extensive adaptability and can ensure smooth and fast start of vehicle under various conditions.
