Abstract
NiO/ Ce0.7La0.3O1.85 ceramics has been prepared by the combustion of La(NO3)3, Ce(NO 3)3, Ni(NO3)2 and organic fuel. The influence of the oxidant/fuel ratio of the precursors on the end reaction product characteristics was investigated. It is showed that the initial oxidant/fuel ratio strongly influences the characteristics of the as-synthesized powders. The powders prepared by the combustion crystallize fully when oxidant/fuel is 2: 1. The properties were studied with XRD, SEM, and TEM. The experimental results showed that powders were fine and homogenous. It's specific surface area was about 4.32 m2 · g-1 with an average particle size was about 0.5 μm ∼5μm.
