Abstract

A low-profile dual-frequency tri-polarized antenna is proposed in this paper. The tri-polarized antenna consists of a dual-frequency quasi-monopole mode antenna and two linearpolarization microstrip antennas. The differential feed is applied to improve cross-polarization level, isolation and mode stability. It can realize an omnidirectional polarization and a pair of orthogonal linear polarization at 2.7 and 5.1 GHz respectively. The total profile height is only 0.04 λL. The cross-polarization levels are lower than -27 dB at broadside and lower than -18 dB at horizontal omnidirectional.
