Abstract

In this paper, a low cost least squares optimization method for sub-Nyquist rate output of a two-phase holding (TPH) DAC is proposed. The pseudoinverse matrix of the TPH mode DAC reconstruction matrix is analyzed, and based on the analysis, a direct data manipulation method is proposed to replace matrix operations for reducing the computational complexity. The proposed least squares optimization method is able to improve the spurious free dynamic range by suppressing unwanted signals inside the bandwidth of interest. Simulation results show that the computational complexity can be reduced by six orders of magnitude.
