Abstract

The compressor wheel is a core part of turbocharger, and the low-cycle-fatigue (LCF) damage is its main fault model. To obtain LCF limit strength and test speed of a new compressor wheel, this paper calculated and analyzed its strength based on finite element method by ANSYS, on the basis of radial stress, using cycle model and 20 nodes isoparametric element method. A tress-rotate speed curve was gained and a theory fundament was established for LCF test.
