Land use and resident trip generation model and its parameter calibration

Abstract

Based on the interaction between the land utilization and the urban traffic, a land utilization and resident trip generation model was established and its parameters were calibrated. Different types of the land utilization make different trip volumes generated by the residents, in order to take this difference into account, all types of the land utilization were characterized by the land area to floor area ratios which were endowed with corresponding weight factors and calibrated by the software MATLAB. The parameters of the established model were verified with the field data and their statistical analysis from Changchun city and the result was positire.
